uzzah and well met... Welcome m'Lord and m'Ladies to the 1st Annual Richmond Fantasy Festival. The festivities and merriment will take place at the Richmond International Raceway on Saturday the 21st of July from 10:00 am through 9:00 pm and on Sunday the 22nd of July from 10:00 am through 6:00 pm.

his is an exciting time for us. For the past few years the renaissance festival has been enjoying a renaissance feeling of it's own. With the release of blockbusters like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Eregon, and the up and coming Golden Compass the fantasy genre has (forgive the pun) enchanted a whole new generation and hacked and slashed it's way into mainstream society.

e have arranged for this one weekend only the best we can offer in renaissance entertainment. Meet top craftsmen and peruse their wares. Be amazed at live steel demonstations, and medieval combat tournaments. Enjoy the best renaissance foods and drink for both child and adult. At dusk both days, the sound of flaming swords will ring through the fair. There will be music, comeday acts and plays, games for the wee folk, and much, much more.
